Anshul Kamboj Named Replacement for Injured Prasidh Krishna in India's Squad for 3rd ODI
Fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has been called up to India’s senior squad to replace Prasidh Krishna for the third and final ODI against West Indies in Mullanpur.
Prasidh Krishna Injured: Prasidh sustained a hamstring injury during the second ODI in Guwahati after bowling five overs. He was ruled out of the final match and will report directly to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for detailed scans and rehabilitation.
India A Squad Exit: Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj was pulled midway from his India A duties against Australia A to link up immediately with the senior team in Mullanpur ahead of the series finale.
Series Position: India hold an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three-match series following victories in Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati. India have been splitting their top-rung players across teams because of the crammed calendar - Jasprit Bumrah, for example, is in Japan for the Asian Games - and the squad for the ODIs against West Indies now has, apart from Kamboj, Mohammed Siraj, Auqib Nabi and Gurnoor Brar.
West Indies smashed 405 for 7 in their 50 overs, but India cruised past the target in just 43.3 overs on a track that has been widely panned since.
