Jacob Bethell's unbeaten 76 led England to a four-wicket victory in Manchester despite India's blistering start and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's brave debut at the age of 15. Harry Brook's explosive counterattack set up the chase in the middle overs. Shreyas Iyer, India's captain, called India's 190/7 score a "phenomenal score" on the field thanks to a 50-run opening stand between Sooryavanshi and Abhishek Sharma, India's youngest player in men's internationals.
