Shoaib Malik will rejoin the Fortune Barishal squad on February 2, after leaving the BPL abruptly last week. He will be available for the team's last game of the Sylhet leg, against Khulna Tigers on February 3. It was not satisfactory at first why Malik had left. Afterward, he tweeted: "I might want to address and excuse the new tales flowing about my playing position with Fortune Barishal. I had a careful conversation with our chief, Tamim Iqbal, and we commonly arranged the way forward. I needed to leave Bangladesh for a pre-committed media commitment in Dubai." In his three excursions for Barishal up to this point, Malik batted at No. 6 and scored 7, 5* and 17*. He amazed one in every one of the initial two games yet didn't get to bowl in the third.
