Finn Allen moves to Melbourne Stars, Seifert joins Sydney Sixers

Finn Allen has signed a three-year contract with the Melbourne Stars after spending two seasons with the Perth Scorchers. During the Scorchers' title-winning campaign, the hard-hitting New Zealand opener scored 466 runs, making him the leading run scorer. Allen stated, "It's going to be a lot of fun playing for the Stars, who are a powerhouse team in this competition." "I can't wait to be a part of that because they already have a huge fan base and are only going to get bigger. "I think all cricketers love playing at the MCG, so to be able to call that my home ground now is really exciting." Tim Seifert, a New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman who is 31 years old, was signed by the Sydney Sixers. Seifert became only the second player from the franchise to score a century after Aaron Finch after playing in 20 games in the BBL for the Melbourne Renegades in the last two seasons.
