The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons claimed their maiden Caribbean Premier League (CPL) title after defeating the Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets with 20 balls to spare at the Kensington Oval. Maaz Sadaqat’s Lone Fight: Sent in to bat, the Kingsmen posted 170/9 in 20 overs, driven almost entirely by opener Maaz Sadaqat's stunning century (114 off 58 balls; 8 fours, 9 sixes). Saim Ayub (29) was the only other Kingsmen batter to reach double figures as the rest of the order collapsed. Sufiyan Muqeem’s Four-Wicket Spell: Pakistan left-arm wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem delivered a Player of the Match performance for the Falcons, finishing with exceptional figures of 4/14 in his 4 overs to dismantle the Kingsmen’s middle and lower order. Blistering Powerplay Start: The Falcons initiated a rapid response during the chase. Rahkeem Cornwall launched an explosive 20 off just 6 balls in the opening over, before Evin Lewis added 38 off 26 deliveries to propel the side to 76/1 in the powerplay. Jangoo & Nawaz Finish the Job: Amir Jangoo anchored the remainder of the chase with an unbeaten 57 off 34 balls, pairing up with Hassan Nawaz (47* off 35 balls) in an unbroken partnership to steer the Falcons past the target, reaching 173/2 in 16.4 overs. Jangoo and Nawaz then shut Kingsmen out of the contest. They combined for seven fours and six sixes in their stand, with Jangoo finishing on 57 not out and Nawaz on 47 not out. The result was effectively beyond doubt with four overs remaining, before Nawaz provided the finishing flourish with two sixes in the 17th over. Shadab Khan, the Falcons allrounder, was declared the tournament MVP for his 132 runs and 11 wickets.
