At Windhoek on Sunday, September 6, South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by 48 runs to win the T20I Tri-Series final in Namibia. After stacking up 205 for 5, the Proteas bowled out their opponents for 157. Jordan Hermann and Connor Esterhuizen won the toss and batted first, scoring three runs off Wesley Madhevere in the first over after winning the toss. After striking for six runs in the third inning against Newman Nyamhuri, the first batters defeated Kundai Matigimu for 20 runs in the sixth inning. In the eighth over, Jordan Hermann scored his first T20I fifty, but when Esterhuizen hit two balls later, the 84-run opening stand came to an end. Dewald Brevis and Rubin Herman shared a crucial 47-run stand as Zimbabwe fought back, dismissing Jordan Hermann in the 10th over and Tony de Zorzi in the 13th. With a 14-ball, 23-run cameo, Duan Jansen helped South Africa reach 200 while they both fell in four balls. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, had a rough start and finished the Powerplay at 46 for 4. Ben Curran, who was the first to leave after edging behind for a golden duck, was the first to depart in each of the first four overs. In the subsequent over, Brian Bennett attempted a scoop but was also caught behind. Brad Evans had a good time, scoring four fours and four sixes in his first T20I fifty, but Zimbabwe was bowled out for 157 in 18 overs and he was stuck.
