South Africa to host West Indies, India in tri-series before Womens T20 World Cup

South Africa will play West Indies and India in East London in a T20I tri-series in January-February 2023 as they hope to move toward the Ladies' T20 World Cup at home. The three sides are booked to play two times against one another in the cooperative stage, with the main two groups meeting in the last on February 2, with Bison Park facilitating all games. The World Cup will begin from February 10, with the last occurring in Newlands, Cape Town on February 26. At the World Cup, South Africa are gathered alongside Australia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and New Zealand. In the mean time, India and West Indies are in Gathering B, close by Britain, Ireland and Pakistan. "These different sides [India and West Indies] are up there with the most skilled and engaging countries in ladies' T20 cricket, having highlighted in two of the last four finals, with the West Indies lifting the prize in 2016," Enoch Nkwe, CSA's overseer of cricket, noted in an explanation. "This will give the Energy Proteas an exceptionally serious development to a definitive award of the T20 World Cup."
