New Zealand Duo Ravindra and Chapman Miss India ODIs Due to Injury

Double Blow for New Zealand: Mark Chapman and Rachin Ravindra have been officially ruled out of the upcoming five-match ODI series against India due to ongoing injuries. Injury Status & Recovery: Mark Chapman: An MRI scan revealed his left hamstring tear requires another two weeks of rehabilitation. He originally sustained the injury at the European T20 Premier League in September. Rachin Ravindra: His right shoulder—injured during a promo shoot in September—has not recovered sufficiently for him to field comfortably in white-ball cricket. Team management opted not to risk him ahead of the upcoming Test series. Squad Replacements & Adjustments Tim Seifert: Originally named only for the final two ODIs, Seifert has now been added to the squad for the entire series. Henry Nicholls: Recalled to the ODI setup for the first three matches. His call-up follows a stellar domestic performance, including 119 opening the batting for Canterbury in the Ford Trophy. Dean Foxcroft: Currently playing in the New Zealand A vs. India A red-ball series, Foxcroft will join the squad for the final two ODIs. Matt Henry & Matthew Fisher: Matt Henry joined the ODI squad on Monday to have his readiness assessed following an injury during the T20I series, while Matthew Fisher has been added to the full squad as an additional pace option. "Everyone knows what an asset Mark and Rachin are to this side so it's a shame they have to miss this series," New Zealand head coach Rob Walter said. "I caught up with Mark last week and although he's disappointed he's working hard to get back on the field.
