T Natarajan returns to SRH, Zeeshan Ansari traded to DC

T Natarajan has returned to Sunrisers Hyderabad's lineup ahead of IPL 2027 after a successful player trade with Delhi Capitals. Zeeshan Ansari has joined the Capitals team in the opposite direction. Natarajan was purchased by the Capitals at the 2025 player auction for INR 10.75 million. He featured in 12 matches for the Capitals across two seasons, picking up five wickets. He will now sign with Sunrisers for an updated INR 5 crore. In the meantime, as a result of the trade, Ansari will keep his current fee of INR 40 lakh. Natarajan, who represented Sunrisers from 2020 to 2024, enjoyed his most productive IPL season in 2024, picking up 19 wickets to finish as the team's leading wicket-taker. That year, the Sunrisers' run to the championship game was greatly aided by the left-arm pacer. Natarajan has taken 72 wickets in 73 IPL matches at an economy of 9.21 and an average of 32.97. Natarajan was part of the Punjab franchise in his maiden IPL season in 2017 before moving to SRH at a price of INR 40 Lakh ahead of IPL 2018. He was injured that year, and despite being retained by SRH, he was unable to play that year either. SRH purchased the left-arm seamer back before IPL 2022 for INR 4 billion. In the meantime, Ansari makes the move to the Capitals after appearing in ten games for SRH in his first IPL season in 2025. In his IPL debut, the 26-year-old leg spinner took three wickets against the Capitals. In the 2025 tournament, the Uttar Pradesh spinner took six wickets. He was kept by Sunrisers before the IPL 2026, but he didn't play a single game.
